Mazen Alessa is the Room Director at Saja Almadinah. He was featured in the first edition of “International hospitality management” magazine, which was issued by Prince Mugrin’s University. 

In general, the article tells Mazen’s inspiring journey. In addition to the great potential the industry holds for young and ambitious people. 

 Mazen took an uncalculated step when he first entered the hospitality industry. One which turned out great for his career. 

Initially, Mazen’s background was in finance and marketing. He stated that he did not have a clear career path in mind when he first entered the job market.

Mazen’s career in the hospitality sector started in 2012. He had a temporary job in a five star hotel in Jeddah. Consequently, this opened his eyes to the promising potential of this ever-evolving sector. At the time, this was not a common career path for young Saudi men.  

Mazen joined Saja Almadinah in 2017. Initially, he was the front office manager. Later, in a matter of 3 years, he became the director of rooms. Mazen is leading a mainly Saudi staff workforce. Which is what he believes makes Saja Almadinah stand out and gives it its true local spirit. 

 Mazen’s message to the Saudi youth is to believe in their abilities. The hospitality industry holds great potential for them. As a matter of fact, it is needed to realize Saudi 2030 vision. Since it works to improve the local tourism market. As well as making Saudi Arabia a travel destination. All while being an amazing investment area.
