Al Madinah
Explore the Spiritual City
Here, the Islamic spirit became a flame for the first capital of Islam, the relationship of love and harmony between the immigrant Muslims and supporters arose, and Allah opened the Muslims’ hearts to give them tranquility and peace. Here, The Great Prophet (Peace be upon Him) emigrated in search of a good land, and this blessed city ultimately became His final resting place. Today it’s visited by Muslims from all over the world to rediscover themselves again, where their hearts are filled with faith and the spirituality of Madinah.
Al Medinah Al Munawarah is one of the most important Islamic cities around the world because it contains a group of the most important landmarks of Islamic history. It is here that the first mosque in Islam, the mosque of Qiblatayn (2 Directions) is present. This is the land which has Baqi’ where a large number of the Prophet’s Companions rest. While each has a special and wonderful story among Muslims, the most important landmark of Madinah is The Holy Prophet’s Mosque.
The Holy Prophet’s Mosque is one of the three most special mosques in the world. This is why Muslims come from all over the world to pray here, where Allah
multiplies the reward of prayer by a thousand prayers in other mosques. It is a very special place and is full of spiritual and peaceful vibes.
In Madinah, there is the first mosque in Islam, the mosque of Quba, and also the mosque of Qiblatayn (2 directions). The mosque of the Qiblatayn has a wonderful story, which is also the reason for its name. Inside the mosque, muslims were praying while facing Al-Aqsa Mosque when Allah commanded the Holy Prophet to change their direction mid-prayer toward the holy Kaaba in Mecca instead. This has made the mosque one of the landmarks in Madinah for Muslims.
There are, of course, many stories that can be told about Madinah. Here on Mount Uhud, a large number of the companions of the Holy Prophet were martyred, and here in the Baqi’ a large number of them were buried. This rich, unforgettable history deserves to be rediscovered by each Muslim.
